Interview with Ira Sachs about "Little Men":

Rather than my telling you about why Little Men is one of the most important films of 2016 and Ira Sach's is fast become the most insightful storyteller of contemporary NYC.  With all its contradictions bubbling subtly in a broth flavored with intellectual ideas and pinch of serious questions about social values. Visual beauty is  worn like a mink stole brought out on a fall day that has suddenly gotten colder than being just cool.  I have worried about boys and pre-adolescent in this contemporary world where kids learn far too  much digitally while real life confronts them the two boys in the film are like feisty  fauns learning  to stand on their own four legs,,, This interview took place at the Berlin Film Festival where the Teddy awards bring artists and programmers of world's lesbian and gay +'s   film festivals together  and awards then ., Sach's Keep The Lights On  won the Teddy Grand Jury Prize 2012
